Enliven your group's visit with Exhibits Plus. These activities are presented by gallery educators on a wide variety of topics. Each Exhibits Plus demonstration is 30 minutes in length. Exhibits Plus is available by reservation only, and they are performed exclusively for your group.

The Scientific Method

Scientists solve problems by making observations, designing and conducting experiments, and using the scientific method. You'll be the scientist as you experiment with soda cans.

Super Cool: Liquid Nitrogen

How do solids, liquids and gasses respond to extremely cold temperatures? Observe some exciting phase changes using liquid nitrogen in this chillin' demo on states of matter.

Bull's Eye! Cow Eye Dissection

Take an up-close look at the structure of a cow's eye as an educator describes the functions of each part and compares the structures to those found in a human eye. Find your blind spot!

Air Pressure

Crush a can using only air! Discover how our lungs work. How does a plane fly? This demo is an excellent introduction to air pressure and Bernoulli's principle.

Radical Reactions

Colorful flames, a foam fountain, a rainbow in a tube, see chemistry at its coolest! This demo highlights some impressive chemical and physical reactions.

DNA Lab

In this hands-on lab activity, you'll use microscopes to study cell division in onions and extract your own take-home DNA sample from a smelly specimen!

Medical Check-Up Lab

Give yourself a check-up as you measure your blood pressure, calculate your respiratory rate and test your eyesight! This fun lab lets you explore some interesting medical careers as you use real instruments to learn about the human body.
