Exhibit Maintenance

Maintain mechanical, electrical and electronic exhibits. Volunteers with cabinet-making skills are also needed. Minimum age is 18. Two 4-hour shifts a month are required.

Group Marketing

Answer phone calls and provide information, direct calls to appropriate staff and take messages. Minimum age is 18. Requires a weekly 4-hour commitment, Monday-Friday.

Membership Assistants

Process and service new and renewing museum members. Volunteers prepare membership packets, file processed memberships and help with database administration. Minimum age is 14. Requires a weekly 4-hour commitment, Monday-Friday.

Volunteer Office Assistants

Process incoming applications, schedule interviews, provide general office support and help with database administration. Strong computer skills are a must. Minimum age is 14. Requires a weekly 4-hour commitment, Monday-Friday.

Science Museum of Virginia Foundation Assistant

Provide general office support, help with database administration and help maintain donor files. Attention to detail is a must. Minimum age is 18. Requires a weekly 4-hour commitment, Monday-Friday
