Home-schooled Student Volunteer Program

The Science Museum of Virginia's Home-schooled Student Volunteer Program offers home-schooled students the opportunity to expand their math, science, aviation and technology knowledge and contribute a worthy and important service to the surrounding community by assisting in demonstrations, educational programs and provide museum support.

What are the benefits of the Home-schooled Student Volunteer Program?

• Free admission to the Science Museum and Virginia Aviation Museum when off duty.
• A free family membership once you have completed 100 hours of volunteer service.

What do home-schooled volunteers do?

• Perform exciting cart and tabletop science demonstrations
• Assist shoppers in the store.
• Provide general office support.
• Work at the Virginia Aviation Museum.
