Alive for the first time in 82 million years!
Now through June 5 2008.
Sea Monsters: A Prehistoric Adventure brings to life the most bizarre, ferocious and fascinating creatures ever to inhabit Earth’s oceans. When strange bones are discovered in a muddy Kansas riverbank, paleontologists investigate a mystery “buried in time.” Travel back to the Late Cretaceous, when giant marine reptiles dominated an inland sea that cut across North America.
Follow a female dolichorhynchops (a seal-like reptile) and her offspring through adventures that illustrate life in the sea during the age of dinosaurs. Live-action re-creations of actual paleontological digs reveal the scientific basis behind each animated episode.
NOTE: The realistic, computer-generated footage of the underwater creatures in Sea Monsters: A Prehistoric Adventure may not be suitable for very young children.
"It's 'Finding Nemo' with a 'Wow!' factor of about 100." -The Washington Post
