Come make a personalize keychain or name tag in The Forge! Our laser cutter is the perfect tool for the job! We'll be using Inkscape, a free software application where you can easily create vector illustrations and graphics. Plus, our laser cutter is simple to use, so you don't need any prior experience. Come check it out today!

Tools used in this Maker Workshop include Inkscape, computers and laser cutter. Skills used include layout, design, measurement, and CAD processes for Inkscape.

This workshop will be held at 1 p.m. and 2 p.m. on May 8, 10, 11, 12, 13, 22, 24, 25, 26 and 27.

About Maker Workshops

Forge Workshops are included with Museum admission. Advance registration is required and can be done in person at the Guest Services desk or by talking with a Forge Facilitator. Click below to purchase your tickets to the Museum.

Maker Workshops are 45-minute experiences led by Forge Facilitators. These project-based workshops result in a take-home item and are limited to 12 participants. All participants in this workshop must be 8 years or older. Participants under the age of 13 must be accompanied by an adult.
