Explore How the Stars Influenced History’s Most Inspiring Civilizations.

Throughout time, stars have been a source of history and imagination, inspiring civilizations to construct elaborate monuments to study the sky. Theories suggest our modern day constellations were named 4,500 years ago by the people of the Mediterranean – the location of the legendary Atlantis. So was Atlantis a real place? Uncover the clues to solve this age-old mystery. This astronomy feature is followed by a live presentation that allows you to explore the stars like never before.

This film is currently only available for groups. However, this film may become part of the Museum's public film library in the future.

Book your group adventure today and see constellations like never before on our 76-foot Dome screen! With discounted group rates, groups have the opportunity to schedule exclusive featured shows on Virginia’s largest movie screen.
