Get creative and unleash your inner animator in The Forge. Flip books are a unique way to animate stories and capture imaginations. As each page is swiftly flipped, it creates the illusion of movement - making characters come to life with every turn. Our educators will provide step-by-step instructions and all the supplies needed to make your very own flip book masterpiece. With their drawing tips and tricks, you'll learn how to create stunning flip book animation that looks professional while having fun in the process! Impress family and friends with some fun, new animation skills, or just enjoy the creative motion of making a flip book.
This challenge will be held daily between 10 a.m.–noon everyday in March except for the following Saturdays (March 4, 11, 18 and 25).
Maker Challenges are included with Museum admission and are designed for learners of all ages. Use your creativity and critical thinking skills to build solutions to fun challenges! New and different challenges happen each month.
Stop by the Forge anytime during Maker Challenge hours! No registration is required and you can stay for 15 minutes or the full 2 hours!
Advance registration is not required, but space is limited to 25 participants at a time. All participants must be at least 8 years or older. Participants under the age of 13 must be accompanied by an adult.
