Challenge yourself to design and build a propeller powered car out of LEGO bricks and adapted motors!
Using LEGO bricks and other elements build a propeller powered car and challenge your friends to a race in The Forge! Are you up for the challenge? See just how fast you can make your car go! Tools used in this Maker Challenge include LEGO bricks, adapted motors, battery packs and propellers. Skills used include design and engineering.
This challenge will be held daily between 10 a.m.–Noon everyday in December except for Mondays, Saturdays and The Fast and the Curious activities the following dates (December 4, 6, 11, 13, 18, 20, 24, 25, 26, 27, 28, 29, 30 and 31).
Stop by the Forge anytime during Maker Challenge hours! No registration is required and you can stay for 15 minutes or the full 2 hours!
Maker Challenges are included with Museum admission and are designed for learners of all ages. Use your creativity and critical thinking skills to build solutions to fun challenges! New and different challenges happen each month.
Advance registration is not required, but space is limited to 25 participants at a time. All participants must be at least 8 years or older. Participants under the age of 13 must be accompanied by an adult.
