Can you engineer a satellite that will launch but also stay in orbit? Challenge yourself to create a satellite that hovers within a designated range in The Forge! Tools used in this Maker Challenge include tape, craft sticks, cardboard, paper cups and pipe cleaners. Skills used include design and engineering.

This challenge will be held daily between 10 a.m.–Noon everyday in January except for Mondays, Saturdays and the following dates (January 3, 8, 10, 15, 22, 24, 29 and 31).

Stop by the Forge anytime during Maker Challenge hours! No registration is required and you can stay for 15 minutes or the full 2 hours!

Maker Challenges are included with Museum admission and are designed for learners of all ages. Use your creativity and critical thinking skills to build solutions to fun challenges! New and different challenges happen each month.

Advance registration is not required, but space is limited to 25 participants at a time. All participants must be at least 8 years or older. Participants under the age of 13 must be accompanied by an adult.
