What’s Happening?

All Science Museum exhibitions will be open, including the touring exhibitions BODY WORLDS: The Anatomy of Happiness and Discover Steampunk. In addition, we’re going to have totally stellar 80s-themed science activities.

We'll have programming that ties to songs from the decade. Who’s it going to be … Prince or The Police? Madonna or Queen? WHAM or Whitney Houston? You’ll have to attend to find out!

Ok, fine. Don't have a cow. We'll give you a few details.

  • Retro arcade games
  • Make-your-own charm bracelets and Troll keychains
  • 80s trivia
  • Inflatable foosball and jousting

Head to The Dome to explore the best of the 80s on the big screen … literally! From Star Wars to Star Trek, our astronomer is exploring what space science Hollywood got right and what it got wrong on the quarter-acre screen in our planetarium.

For sustenance, we’ll have local food trucks Curbside Creations and Shakedown Eats onsite. Bars will offer beer, wine, hard seltzer and hard cider. Plus, we’ll have signature cocktails! Non-alcoholic drinks, candy and popcorn will also be available at concessions. Like, DUH!

Who Can Come?

Anyone who is 21+ who wants to have an awesome time, get hands-on with science, explore the Science Museum in a kids-free environment and isn’t afraid of legwarmers, big hair, parachute pants and grown-up humor.

Please note that even if you intend to enjoy the evening sans adult beverage, you still need to be 21 and you must bring your ID.

What’s the Attire?

Going legit glam and dressing the theme is clutch! Are you going preppy or punk? Aerobics outfits or aviator sunglasses? Prince Akeem or Axel Foley? Marty Mcfly or Jeff Spicoli? If sci-fi is your scene, go Labyrinth or Princess Bride. Or stick with the tunes and break out Run DMC and Salt-N-Pepa.

We’re game for any of these totally radical choices as long as your private parts are covered and your face isn’t. No doy, right?!
