The Science Museum is debuting the new giant screen film Secrets of the Sea on March 1 and to celebrate, we’re diving in head-first! On opening weekend March 2 and 3, we’re washing away all the other films from our schedule and making a big splash with the new offering. That’s right: it’s all sea science all day long!

  • On Saturday, March 2, Secrets of the Sea showtimes will be 11 a.m., 12 p.m., 2 p.m., 3 p.m. and 4 p.m.
  • On Sunday, March 3, Secrets of the Sea showtimes will be 11 a.m., 12 p.m., 2 p.m. and 3 p.m.

Featuring some of the ocean’s strangest and most spectacular animals, Secrets of the Sea offers a face-to-face look at an astonishing array of marine creatures. From pygmy seahorses to giant manta rays, and from barnacle blennies to coconut octopuses, this underwater documentary shows audiences unique animal behaviors of nearly 70 species.

And this is no fish tale: there’s no better way to enjoy the spectacular footage from 16 locations across the globe than by experiencing it on The Dome’s nearly quarter-acre screen!

Secrets of the Sea is presented by MacGillivray Freeman Films, and produced by Howard Hall Productions and Oceanic Research Group. The family friendly film has a run time of 40 minutes.

Guests will be able to reserve their seat for a Secrets of the Sea opening weekend showing beginning in mid-February. Dome features require an additional ticket that can be added to a Science Museum admission purchase.
