Join a team of junior detectives and use forensic science to catch a fugitive.
Week of July 5–9 | Sold Out
Something is afoot at the Science Museum of Virginia and it’s up to you to find the culprit! Join a team of junior detectives and use forensic science to discover clues, interview witnesses, analyse DNA, and catch our mysterious fugitive! Investigators will explore every inch of the Museum from exhibits, to labs and even the Dome all while trying to crack the case! Hurry and sign up for your mission. The Museum needs you!
Summer camp is $250 for members and $300 for non-members. Camp fees include a daily snack, camp t-shirt, water bottle and all camp activities. Campers will need to bring their own lunch to help energize them for our scientific adventures.
Our campers are divided into two groups - rising 1–3 and 4–6 graders - so we can tailor activities for each age group. Camps include opportunities to explore the Museum, visit our Dome Theater and participate in a variety of Live Science Programs. Campers will also get a chance to experience our summer touring exhibition Tyrannosaurus: Meet the Family.
Camps will be held from 9 a.m. - 3 p.m., Monday through Friday. After-camp care is available until 5:30 p.m. for $50 per week per child to help make these extraordinary experiences possible for all schedules. Families must register prior to using this service.
