Dive into the depths of the ocean and explore the science of the sea!
Week of July 25–29
Explorers prepare! This week we dive into the depths of the ocean and explore the science of the sea. Discover some of the world’s most fascinating and feared animals as we investigate the life of sharks and other elusive sea creatures! What is the largest creature in the sea? How deep have humans ever dived? How does a submarine work? Find out as you become a Science Museum ocean explorer!
Summer camp is $250 for members and $300 for non-members. Camp fees include a daily snack, camp t-shirt, water bottle and all camp activities. Campers will need to bring their own lunch to help energize them for our scientific adventures.
Our campers are divided into two groups - rising 1–3 and 4–6 graders - so we can tailor activities for each age group. Camps include opportunities to explore the Science Museum, visit our Dome theater and participate in a variety of Live Science Programs. Campers will also get a chance to experience our summer touring exhibition Planet Shark: Predator or Prey.
Camps will be held from 9 a.m. - 3 p.m., Monday through Friday. After-camp care is available until 5:30 p.m. for $50 per week per child to help make these extraordinary experiences possible for all schedules. Families must register prior to using this service.
