Up & Atom

The Up & Atom Women's Leadership Breakfast historically brings together 500 women from the STEM fields, community leaders, and enthusiastic advocates to celebrate the Museum's impact and women in science. Now in its twelfth year, this event has raised over $1,000,000 in generous support to further the Museum's efforts to engage youth - especially girls - in informal science education opportunities that foster 21st century learning skills while sparking an interest in and positive attitudes about learning.

Illumination Gala

The Illumination Gala is an annual fundraising event held by the Science Museum of Virginia Foundation. The event is an evening of dinner, dancing and cocktails to support the Museum's work to ignite the spark of informal science learning for hundreds of thousands of children and adults this year. All proceeds from the event go to support the Museum’s mission to inspire Virginian’s to enrich their lives through science.
