The Science Museum of Virginia Foundation hosts a variety of events throughout the year. Proceeds from these events support the Museum in its mission to inspire Virginians to enrich their lives through science.
The Science Museum of Virginia is following the Centers for Disease Control’s recommendations to limit gatherings and will not be hosting the Illumination Gala previously scheduled for Saturday, April 18, 2020.
Canceling the Illumination Gala was a difficult but necessary decision. One that was made following the guidance of experts to protect the health and safety of our community.
If you were planning to purchase a ticket to the Illumination Gala and would still like to support the Museum during this unprecedented time, you may pledge your support through our Annual Fund. Your donation will help the Museum as it works to find innovative ways to fulfill its mission.
Thank you for your support of the Museum.
On March 4, over 400 women and men gathered at the Science Museum of Virginia to celebrate the eleventh annual Up & Atom Women’s Leadership Breakfast that raised over $100,000 dollars to support women in STEM (science, technology, engineering and math). Miss America 2020, Camille Schrier was the event keynote speaker. Up & Atom was proudly sponsored by VCU Health, Altria, Genworth Foundation, GSK Consumer Healthcare, Virginia Tech College of Science and Kaleo.
