A Change in Perspective

Step outside onto The Green, the Science Museum of Virginia's 6-acre community greenspace, where you'll find the STEM-inspired art feature Cosmic Perception.

The unique sculpture features 50 protruding white steel spires—steel triangle-shaped tubes shooting outward and upward like a burst originating from a single point. Guests can travel around and through the dynamic original sculpture to experience how the dichroic-glass kaleidoscopes offer an unexpected view of the campus and the surrounding urban greenspace.

Cosmic Perception does not require paid admission to experience and is open to the public.
