The Science Museum of Virginia is located in Richmond, Va., and calls the historic Broad Street Station its home. Featuring three floors of interactive exhibits, a 76-foot tall Dome theater and more! We've got something for curious minds of all ages. We can't wait to see you!

Arriving from North or West:

Take I-95 South or I-64 East to Richmond. From I-95, take the Arthur Ashe Boulevard exit 78, bear right onto Arthur Ashe Boulevard and follow to West Broad Street (US 250), the 4th traffic light. Turn left onto West Broad Street and travel for two blocks; the Museum is on your left-hand side.

Arriving from South or East:

Take I-95 north or I-64 west to Richmond. From I-95, take the Arthur Ashe Boulevard exit 78 and bear left onto Hermitage Road. Travel south on Hermitage for 1.3 miles to West Broad Street (US 250). Turn right onto West Broad Street and proceed for half a mile; the Museum is on your right-hand side.

Parking and Entrance

Museum parking is ample and free. Spaces near the front of the parking lots are designated for guests with disabilities. Guest drop-off and pickup is allowed at the Museum’s main entrance and the Museum has an automated doorway to the far right door at the Museum’s main entrance

Public Transportation

The GRTC Routes 50, 76, 77 drop off on DMV Drive next to the Museum. The PULSE has a station on Broad Street in front of the Museum.

Electric Charging Station

The Museum has a charging station for electric vehicles located in front of its building.

  • Up to four vehicles may charge at the same time.
  • Spots are first come, first serve.
  • The charge rate is $.50/hour and operated through Charge Point.
  • Guests are asked to move their vehicle when it's finished charging to free up space for others.

Bicycle Repair Station

The Museum has a repair station for bicycles located in front corner of its building.

  • Whether you just need to fill up a tire or have a larger project in mind, our repair station has all the tools you need to ensure your two wheeler stays in tip-top shape.
  • Scan the QR code on the repair station to get information on how to fix common bike issues.
  • Station is free and available for anyone to use.
  • Bike racks are located beside the repair station so you can park your bike while you visit the Museum.
