Looking to create a unique piece of art that incorporates the power of the sun? Look no further than cyanotypes! This distinctive art form utilizes the negative process and ultraviolet light exposure to produce stunning cyan blue-hued images on fabric. Using solar paint and brushes, you have the freedom to create a one-of-a-kind masterpiece.
Tools used in this Maker Workshop include paper, solar paint and brushes. Skills used include layout, design and painting.
This workshop will be held at 1 p.m. and 2 p.m. on April 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, 28, 29 and 30.
Forge Workshops are included with Museum admission. Advance registration is required and can be done in person at the Guest Services desk or by talking with a Forge Facilitator. Click below to purchase your tickets to the Museum.
Maker Workshops are 45-minute experiences led by Forge Facilitators. These project-based workshops result in a take-home item and are limited to 12 participants. All participants in this workshop must be 11 years or older. Participants under the age of 13 must be accompanied by an adult.
