Laser Show: Prince

Dearly beloved: We are gathering to celebrate … a great musician and performer. Join us in The Dome on Thursday, February 12, as we kick off Valentine’s Day weekend and bask in our love for Prince with a dazzling display of light and music.

You want to let this elevator (or stairs) bring you down to witness music from one of the greatest performers and guitar players accompanied by a laser show that’s just as flamboyant as Prince! Give us your extra time, put on your “Raspberry Beret,” call up Dr. Everything’ll Be Alright and make your way to the Science Museum!

We’re offering two performances of the same program in The Dome at 6:30 and 8:15 p.m. Doors open at 5:30 for the 6:30 p.m. show, and at 7:30 for the 8:15 p.m. show.

Science Museum members may purchase tickets for $12.50. Tickets for non-members are $15. Tickets are non-refundable, and may not be transferred and resold.

Take a look around you—at least you got friends. Bring them with you to our next Laser Show on February 12. Purple costumes encouraged!

Additional Info

There will be candy, popcorn, non-alcoholic beverages and alcoholic beverages for sale before the start of the Laser Show. A valid ID will be required to purchase alcoholic beverages. Food and beverages may be taken into The Dome and enjoyed during the show.

Each Laser Show can seat 250 guests. Once 250 tickets have been purchased, the event is sold out.

The Prince Laser Show is open to all ages. Some of the artist’s music may refer to adult themes or include adult language. Guests should use their own discretion to determine if this show is appropriate for younger guests.

Science Museum exhibitions are not open during evening Laser Show events. Guests will only have access to The Dome.

For safety reasons, guests cannot arrive late or re-enter The Dome once a Laser Show has started. Before purchasing tickets, be sure all guests in your party are able to sit through the approximately one-hour show without leaving. Guests who arrive late or leave during the performance will not be issued a refund.

Laser Shows include bright, flashing colored beams of light. Lasers may not be suitable or cause discomfort for guests with light sensitivities, sensory concerns or certain pre-existing conditions.
