Join us in The Forge and learn how to craft a functional claw using pipe cleaners, craft sticks, and assorted supplies. Your mission: rescue a trapped toy from our machine. Explore design, and iterate your claw to optimize its grasping capabilities. Let your creativity and engineering skills shine as you tackle the challenge of rescuing toys.

Maker Challenges are included with Museum admission and are designed for learners of all ages. Use your creativity and critical thinking skills to build solutions to fun challenges! New and different challenges happen each month.
Stop by the Forge anytime during Maker Challenge hours! No registration is required and you can stay for 15 minutes or the entire duration of the challenge – it's up to you!
Advance registration is not required, but space is limited to 25 participants at a time. All participants must be at least 8 years or older. Participants under the age of 13 must be accompanied by an adult.
