Learn about chemical processes and aqueous surface design to make your own marbled master piece in The Forge! Tools used in this Maker Workshop include alum coated paper, high flow acrylic paint, fans and carrageenan solution. Skills used include design, pattern making and paper manipulation.

This workshop will be held at 1 p.m. and 2 p.m. on July 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 29, 30 and 31.

About Maker Workshops

Forge Workshops are included with Science Museum admission. Advance registration is required for all guests including members. This can be done online when buying your tickets or in person at the Guest Services desk. Please note, Forge Workshops often fill up quickly. Reserving your space in advance of your visit is the best way to ensure you can participate.

Maker Workshops are 45-minute experiences led by Forge Facilitators. These project-based workshops result in a take-home item and are limited to 12 participants. All participants in this workshop must be 8 years or older. Participants under the age of 13 must be accompanied by an adult.
