A Saturday Night That Will Be Lit!

Science on Tap is back for 2026 with a 21+ event that will be a highlight of your weekend!

What's Happening

The Science Museum will have hands-on activities and demos inspired by light, neon and lasers. The entire Dewey Gottwald Center will be black lit and filled with glow-in-the-dark STEM fun from arcade games and oversized building blocks, to giant Jenga and glowing tattoos. We’ll also take a closer look at forensics with our friends from VCU, and guests can team up with — or against — friends in a laser tag experience inside the Science Museum!

Throughout the rest of the building, guests can make vibrant diffraction glasses, sample glowing drinks, discover what lights up the universe in The Dome, explore what glows in the animal kingdom and more.

Don’t forget to bring your dancing shoes — even better if they’re LA Lights — for a glow-stick, techno and house music dance party in The Forum with DJ Dylan.

Whether down a lighted sidewalk, by bus, Uber or your friend’s Dodge Neon, find your way to a radiant weekend event. All lights lead to Science on Tap on February 7!

Who Can Come?

Let us emphasize this for you in yellow highlighter: Science on Tap events are absolutely, positively kid-free. Only those 21+ can attend. Even if you’re not drinking alcohol, you still need to be 21 and you must bring your ID.

What’s the Attire?

Think neon! Be sure to be seen in your reflective vest, don some glow-in-the-dark face paint or break out anything and everything fluorescent in your closet. Reminder that full-face coverings are not allowed. If your reflection can’t be seen in the mirror, it’s a no-go.

What about Food and Drink?

We’ll have local food trucks onsite and bars will sell a variety of adult beverages. Non-alcoholic drinks, candy and popcorn will be available at concessions.

How Do I Get Tickets?

Tickets are $18 for Science Museum members and $25 for non-members.

Timed tickets will be available with a 6, 6:30 or 7 p.m. entry time to control the flow of traffic. All guests can stay until the end of the event at 10 p.m.

Tickets for this event are capped to help ensure a superior guest experience. The event could sell out, so be sure you purchase your tickets early. Tickets are only available online.

Drink tickets will be for sale at the event. All event and drink ticket sales are final.
