Dinosaur lovers: we’re throwing a paleo party

That’s right, dinosaur lovers: we’re throwing a paleo party that will be a blast from the past. "Hold on to your butts." We’re about to have some adults-only fun!

What’s Happening?

The museum is open! In addition to all the labs and exhibitions, the building will have dinosaur-themed hands-on activities and demos.

Visit The Dome to learn about astronomical happenings from the dinosaur era. Our astronomers will take you on a cosmic adventure back in time on the quarter-acre screen.

So you asked for more teeth? We can do that! To quote everyone’s favorite chaos theorist: “Eventually you do plan to have dinosaurs on your dinosaur tour, right?” Of course we do! In addition to all the activities, Science on Tap guests get access to the Ultimate Dinosaurs touring exhibition featuring 17 full-size skeletons, dozens of additional fossils and interactive elements. Normally we charge extra for a ticket to the exhibition, but at Science on Tap, it’s included. Talk about a dinosaur-sized deal!

It’s time to TRI-assic some new things and get JURASS-ic to Science on Tap on July 24!

Who Can Come?

No fossil fooling around: Science on Tap events are absolutely, positively kid-free. Only those 21+ can attend. Even if you’re not drinking alcohol, you still need to be 21 and you must bring your ID. Don’t be a saur loser and show up without your ID. That will T. rex your whole evening!

What’s the Attire?

Whether you’re more Alan Grant and Ellie Sattler, Vince Vaughn and Julliane Moore or Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard, come dressed as your favorite paleontologist. Or, if you feel more inclined to be a distinctive dino, go for it! Just be sure you don’t wear a costume that covers your face because we don’t dig full face coverings (this includes inflatable T. rex costumes)!

What about Food and Drink?

We’ll have local food trucks Gelati Celesti, Parallel Stix and River City Wood Fire Pizza onsite. Bars will sell a variety of adult beverages. Non-alcoholic drinks, candy and popcorn will be available at concessions.

How Do I Get Tickets?

Tickets are $18 for Science Museum members and $25 for non-members.

To control the flow of traffic, we’re spacing out entry times. Tickets will be available with a 6, 6:30 or 7 p.m. start time so we can help make the line at Guest Services go extinct. All guests can stay until the end of the event at 10 p.m.

Tickets for this event are capped to help ensure a superior guest experience. The event could sell out, so be sure you purchase your tickets early. Tickets are only available online.

Drink tickets will be for sale at the event. All event and drink ticket sales are final.
