Save the date
Let your creativity take shape with this special two-part ceramics workshop for seniors. The Science Museum will provide all materials and guidance — you just bring your imagination!
In the first session on January 20, guests will hand-build unique slump molds using clay in The Forge, guided by our maker team. Then on January 28, participants can drop in anytime during Science Museum operating hours to glaze their pieces before they are kiln-fired. Participants will receive an email once their pieces are ready to take home.
This program is designed to engage seniors 60+ by connecting them to each other, helping them exercise their creativity, encouraging them to discover science all around them and deepening their appreciation of STEM.
Thanks to the generous support of Genworth, Senior Science events are free and open to the public. Due to the size of The Forge, spots are limited to 20 guests. Advance registration is required for the January 20 event.
Senior Science programming does not include admission to the Science Museum.
