Shake up what you know about snow globes, and then make your own!
8–10 a.m.
Save the date!
This holiday classic is filled with snow and science! Shake up what you know about snow globes, and then make your own! Participants will discover how viscosity and fluid dynamics affect the movement of “snow” through liquid and learn why different liquids create different visual effects.
Following a brief presentation, guests will create and customize their own snow globe while experimenting with the science that makes these classic holiday decorations work. This creative, hands-on activity combines art, engineering and chemistry in a fun and festive Senior Science experience.
