Discover the artistry and craftsmanship of stained glass crafting. Stained glass is a unique art form with a rich history spanning centuries. While it is commonly associated with large, intricate window designs, stained glass can also be crafted into smaller creations. Join us in The Forge to learn the basics of stained glass art and create a design that is truly a unique art piece of your own!

Tools used in this workshop include cut glass, foil tape, solder and flux. Skills used include material exploration, design and soldering.

This workshop will be held at 1 p.m. and 2 p.m. on August 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 26, 27, 28, 29 and 31.

About Maker Workshops

Forge Workshops are included with Science Museum admission. Advance registration is required for all guests including members. This can be done online when buying your tickets or in person at the Guest Services desk. Please note, Forge Workshops often fill up quickly. Reserving your space in advance of your visit is the best way to ensure you can participate.

Maker Workshops are 45-minute experiences led by Forge Facilitators. These project-based workshops result in a take-home item and are limited to 12 participants. All participants in this workshop must be 11 years or older. Participants under the age of 13 must be accompanied by an adult.
