Maker Workshop: Stained Glass Creations

Discover the artistry and craftsmanship of stained glass crafting. Stained glass is a unique art form with a rich history spanning centuries. While it is commonly associated with large, intricate window designs, stained glass can also be crafted into smaller creations. Join us in The Forge to learn the basics of stained glass art and create a design that is truly a unique art piece of your own!

Tools used in this workshop include cut glass, foil tape and solder. Skills used include material exploration, design and soldering.

This workshop will be held at 1 p.m. and 2 p.m. on the following dates in November: 1, 3, 4, 6, 7, 15, 17, 18, 19, 20, and 21.

About Maker Workshops

Forge Workshops are included with Science Museum admission. Registration is required for all guests including members and must be done in person on the day of your visit. Stop by the front desk in the Rotunda to reserve your space with a member of our Guest Services team.

Maker Workshops are 45-minute experiences led by Forge Facilitators. These project-based workshops result in a take-home item and are limited to 12 participants. All participants in this workshop must be 8 years or older. Participants under the age of 13 must be accompanied by an adult.
