Come learn about field trips, programming and educator resources.
9:30 a.m.–1 p.m.
We know how important field trips are to help bring classroom lessons to life. We also know teachers want access to a wide variety of resources to help engage students in the materials they need to cover.
At our Teacher Resource Fair on September 13, educators can speak directly with Science Museum staff to learn all the ins and outs of field trip planning. How many students can attend a live demo? What’s the best giant screen film to match environmental science SOLs? What resources are available to connect students to topics we're covering in the classroom?
We're featuring a hands-on challenge in The Forge, showcasing the top-choice live demos for schools and screening the most-requested giant screen films and astronomy shows in The Dome all so teachers can get a taste for what their group can experience on a field trip.
And that's not all! A variety of organizations from across the state will be on hand to connect teachers with resources designed to engage and inspire student learning in and out of the classroom. Plus, there will be drawings and door prizes for amazing goodies.
Admission
Teachers always receive free general admission to the Science Museum, but during our Teacher Resource Fair, we're showing our appreciation for all educators do by giving them the chance to bring up to three guests for free!
The Teacher Resource Fair is open to public school, private school and homeschool teachers. Please be prepared to show your teacher ID or homeschool letter of intent.
If you would like to add additional guests, you can purchase tickets for a discounted rate. All guests must be checked in at the same time.
Check in for the Teacher Resource Fair must take place between 9:30 a.m.–1 p.m. Once checked in, teachers and their guests may stay until 5 p.m. when the Science Museum closes.
