Don't miss this unforgettable paleontological experience!
On display beginning May 31
Featuring 17 full specimens from locations in the Southern Hemisphere, this interactive exhibition brings dinosaurs to life.
What was life like on Earth before humans walked upon it? From the tiny and fast Eoraptor to the massive and menacing Giganotosaurus, our planet was inhabited by fascinating prehistoric predators.
Augmented reality transforms intricately detailed skeletons into moving, flesh-and-bones animals to reveal extraordinary dinosaurs that evolved in isolation during the Mesozoic Era. Learn about the adaptations that made them unique through hands-on activities exploring physical characteristics like crests and frills, stride patterns and more.
Ultimate Dinosaurs also tells the story of the break-up of supercontinent Pangaea and the ways it affected dinosaur evolution 250–65 million years ago. As Pangaea divided first into Laurasia in the north and Gondwana in the south, dinosaurs were passengers on these drifting land masses. An amazing diversity of species evolved as a result.
Ultimate Dinosaurs introduces guests to fascinating and unusual species from the Southern Hemisphere. By showing dinosaurs with unusual adaptations and characteristics that separate them from the Northern Hemisphere counterparts, this exhibition offers a unique glimpse into the relationship between continental drift and species evolution.
Ultimate Dinosaurs is presented by the Science Museum of Minnesota. It was created and produced by The Royal Ontario Museum, Toronto.
This exhibition will be on display May 31—September 1, 2025.
