The Garner Pavilion is located on the western side of the Science Museum, nestled amongst Richmond's historic and treasured train canopies. This outdoor setting is the perfect spot to host a wedding ceremony, cocktail hour and reception all in one space. Antique trains combined with unique elements like the Aluminaut (the world's first aluminum submarine) and our original Earth Kugel make for a scenic masterpiece. Additionally, this spacious, open-air area is perfect for festivals and vendors who want to sell their goods in a picturesque and welcoming atmosphere.
Located in the Garner Pavilion are several unique trains: a C&O Steam Engine, a RF&P Kitchen Car, a B&O Caboose and Car ONE! All make for perfect photo backdrops.
See the world's first aluminum submarine! After years of development, testing and fabrication, the Aluminaut was officially launched in 1964 and served many notable missions throughout history.
Thank you so much for helping to make this such a special day for my daughter, our family, and our friends. The Science Museum of Virginia is a proud landmark of this great commonwealth, and we are so honored to be a tiny part of its rich history.
Thank you so very much for all of your help with our wedding reception. You and your team did a phenomenal job, and we are very appreciative. Best of luck going forward, and we hope to see you around the Science Museum sometime.
