Rental fees are based on a number of factors including the special event venue you are renting, time of the year, day of the week and the time your event will be held. Please contact us for facility rental information.

We also include 250 black plastic folding chairs, 30 5-foot round tables, 30 6-foot rectangles and 10 cocktail tables. The Science Museum does not provide event décor. Please note that items such as glitter, confetti, fake flower petals, loose stones, helium balloons, smoke or fog machines, sparklers or fireworks are not allowed to be used at events at the Science Museum.
Your contracted vendors will be responsible for the setup and breakdown of your event.
A 25% non-refundable deposit and a signed contract are required to secure your event date. The deposit and signed contract are due within 30 days of receipt.
The balance of your rental fee is due 60 days prior to your event.
The time your event can begin is dependent on the special events venue you choose. The Science Museum is open to the public daily, so some spaces are not available until we close. Please indicate the venues you are interested in when you contact us and we can work with you to determine the time your event may begin.
All events must end by 11 p.m. or by the designated time on your contract. Guests are required to exit at that time and the breakdown and removal of all décor and vendor items must begin immediately following.
We strongly encourage you to select one of our preferred caterers as there are several reasons the Science Museum has established these relationships. The first and most important is we can be absolutely confident that your event will run smoothly and that you will enjoy a positive experience with a professional caterer. Second, their preferred status ensures that our caterers will be willing to make an investment in the equipment and supplies necessary to successfully service events at our site. Finally, their familiarity with the venue and regular presence shortens the amount of time required for setup and cleanup and ensures they are prepared to adhere to the required catering responsibilities. If you would like to select a caterer off our preferred caterer list, your selection will need to be approved by your Science Museum Special Events Coordinator.
If you need vendor suggestions for other event needs, we have worked with a wide variety of vendors and are welcome to provide suggestions throughout the planning process.
