Bridges are amazing structures that help keep people and goods connected. Come see if you can span the gap with a weight-bearing bridge of your own design. Engineer your way to victory in The Forge and find out just how much force your design can handle.

This challenge will be held daily between 10 a.m.– noon and 3:30–5 p.m. everyday in September except for the following dates (September 7, 8, 9, 14, 15, 21, 22, 28 and 29).

About Maker Challenges

Stop by The Forge anytime during Maker Challenge hours. No registration is required and you can stay for 15 minutes or the full 2 hours!

Maker Challenges are included with Science Museum admission and are designed for learners of all ages. Use your creativity and critical thinking skills to build solutions to fun challenges! New and different challenges happen each month.

Advance registration is not required, but space is limited to 25 participants at a time. All participants must be at least 8 years or older. Participants under the age of 13 must be accompanied by an adult.
