We’re getting crafty for our next Science After Dark!
From pottery to crocheting and from blown glass to painting, we’re showcasing a variety of artisans at our September 26 Science After Dark. Families can visit booths, explore wares and watch demos from vendors to learn about the interesting techniques, materials and design processes that go into unique craft items. Once the impressive makers have provided inspiration, guests can head to The Forge to use recycled materials to create their own mixed-media masterpieces.
Fall in love with this extended-hours opportunity (yes, we’re staying open late, until 9 p.m.) to experience engaging exhibits, enjoy educator-led demos and hear about the latest space discoveries during a live astronomy show.
You’ll need some fuel to experience it all, so Shakedown Eats and Gelati Celesti will be selling snacks and sweet treats. In addition, we’re featuring craft beverages at this craft event. That’s right: we’ll have adult beverages for sale.
Don’t miss this chance to celebrate the science of locally made art — a picture-perfect Friday night.
Science After Dark admission is $18.50 for adults; $15.50 for youth (ages 6–12) and seniors (ages 60 and older) and $11 for preschool-aged children (ages 3–5). Science After Dark admission is free for Science Museum members, children under 2 and college students with a valid ID.
Live astronomy shows in The Dome are free with admission. Seating is first come, first served, and is limited to the first 250 guests at each show.
