Sharks have amazing adaptations inside and out! Watch as an educator dissects a spiny dogfish.
The best way to learn about sharks is by exploring their amazing adaptations! Join a Science Museum educator as they examine a spiny dogfish and investigate their features from tip to tail. Come learn about their important organs and functions and discover how this shark's features have adapted for maximum efficiency.
Please note: the shark species pictured on this page are not the species educators will dissect during the demo.
Shark Dissections will be offered daily at 11:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. during the week of July 20–July 28.
Demonstrations are explorations where participants watch and engage with a Science Museum educator who showcases amazing scientific experiments to guests.
