A Local Solution

The medicines we count on most, including antibiotics, anesthetics and chemotherapy drugs, reach American hospitals through a supply chain that breaks far more often than the public realizes. Dr. Eric Edwards, co-founder of Richmond-based Kaleo and Phlow, is working to fix it from here at home. Phlow, the nation’s first public benefit pharmaceutical manufacturing corporation, is applying advanced manufacturing technology to end drug shortages and rebuild American production of essential medicines. Registration Information

Sunrise Science begins at 8 a.m. Doors open at 7:30 a.m. so you can grab a complimentary cup of coffee or tea to enjoy during the talk. Each presentation includes time for audience questions at the end. The event will conclude by 9 a.m. so you can continue on with your day, but with a little extra science to fill your cup of knowledge!

Sunrise Science events are free. Tickets are capped due to fixed seating in The Dome. Guests will be asked to fill all available seats.

All guests, including members, should make a reservation on the Science Museum’s website prior to the event. Tickets will only be available at the door if the event is not sold out. If you reserved tickets and can’t attend, please contact Guest Services at [email protected] or 804.864.1400 so we can make those spaces available for other guests.

Science Museum exhibitions are not open during Sunrise Science events.
